Law and Order Svu Dodds Memo

3. There was something else about Dodds` search that Fin wouldn`t like – did he find anything unsavory in Dodds` statement? The thing to remember here is that no matter what was in that memo, it clearly seems that it was enough to give Fin power over Dodds. When it comes to the content of the memo, there are a number of different options to consider. Miller is one of the worst – he didn`t just want to attack Nikki, he wanted to humiliate her and then threaten her to prevent her from taking the witness stand. Welliver may have been the man in black in Lost, but it could fit that character even more. It took Dodds to get information from him – a version of Dodds waving solicitor-client privilege before he even entered his secret conversation. Then the memo arrived, Miller was tied up, and then Olivia learned of the existence of a secret she hadn`t known for some time. 1. Fin has dirt on Dodds – While we`re not sure blackmail is always the best answer, is it possible for Fin to resort to something like this to make sure his boss is safe? We certainly think it is possible for him to do so if he thinks the situation is serious enough and that he feels safe and stable in his own state. (Photo: NBC) And now that he`s gone, we`ll never know what was in that damn memo! We didn`t necessarily have a buffet tonight with great Olivia/End scenes in the episode, but kudos to the writers for getting Fin to chat with her about her knowledge of the memo. and also promised that he would never allow anyone to try to jeopardize his career.

After Dodds and Benson nailed Miller with enough to arrest him and keep him in jail without bail, he gave Benson a clue about the memo Dodds has about them. This memo was first mentioned in season 19 when Fin (Ice-T) Dodds called it. Did I miss something, or did they never respond to what was in Dodds` memo that Fin showed him? I read an interview where the showrunner said they would fix this in the season finale, but I can`t find answers anywhere. Thoughts? Any ideas about what he said? Let`s start with the first question: The main reason Fin probably has this memo is simple: it`s well-connected. We`re talking about a guy who`s been with the NYPD for a long time. He knows people and by the time he may have heard something was going on with Olivia`s work, he probably dug in. We know Fin is protecting Benson; They know each other well, take care of each other, and Fin is the kind of guy who feels like people make their living in this business. Olivia did this and more. He doesn`t want someone to show up who didn`t deserve the job — or he just feels like he`s not going to do as well as Olivia. I really liked this episode. Chris, I agree with you that even though the story unfolded predictably, it still provided me with enough drama that I didn`t mind how it would end.

Having Peter Stone involved would have made more sense than having Carisi acting as the legal expert at the end, but I`m willing to overlook that because the rest of the cast was used so well. I wonder what else Rob could have about Dodds other than this memo. Will they ever let us know what that memo said? Now that Benson has read it, who knows, it might come out during Rob`s trial when he needs leverage against any Dodds statement if that`s the case. The guest cast was fantastic. Peter Gallagher, Callie Thorne and Titus Welliver are always good, no matter what they are, and I think they`ve lived up to expectations. I like the direction CSR has been taking lately, but I wish more people would connect. PS at 2009HDTV, have you even seen the episode? How could you NOT see the crimes? If the memo puts Benson in a bad light, why did Fin hold it over Dodd`s head? He had a secret note that threatened his job. Viewers never really got to see what it was, but it was implied that we would learn the whole truth later. It was strongly implied that it contained derogatory words about Liv`s ability to do the job, or something that was highly inappropriate for the workplace.

I don`t know if we`ll ever find out exactly what he said, but it has been strongly implied that Fin used the memo to blackmail Dodds into staying with SVU as the new sergeant (perhaps to keep Liv`s position safe). Based on a TVLine teaser, Fin will have to face some consequences in the upcoming season. And that`s all viewers learned about the memo. For now. @Alejandro – I don`t think the actual contents of the memo were ever revealed to LOL Great Point! I was not aware of that. Why should Dodd care when the memo shows he once wanted to fire Benson? It`s their boss, not the other way around. Maybe the memo was a suggestion to assassinate Noah to make CSR a better place! What was in that memo. Maybe we`ll never know completely. But in today`s blackout, the memo came out in the middle of a conversation between Dodds and Rob Miller (Titus Welliver), the high-ranking evil lawyer who was the suspect at the center of the case. Since Miller has been Dodds` lawyer, he has been aware of the memo and many other skeletons in his closet. In our eyes, the memo was written out of grief and anger at Dodds, a man who has lost much in his life and who harbors deep regret.

That`s why he openly offered Olivia a copy after the affair – to bury that hatchet, insist her career is safe, and try to move forward. @Dawgdays — While we didn`t see what the memo said when he first appeared in the episode "Flight Risk," there were rumors that Dodds was interviewing Benson`s replacement. The assumption was that even though Dodds gave the impression that he supported Benson, he was really working against her. No one knows what`s in the memo, but Dodds must have really said or done something about Benson that made him look bad in the long run. Perhaps he was not honest in that memo? Back in the compound, Benson confronted Fin with his knowledge of the memo. "I didn`t want to upset you, Liv, it was right after Noah was kidnapped," Fin said. Has a piece of paper ever created so much drama on Law & Order: CSR? We need to talk about the NYPD memo about Lt. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay). Can anyone tell me what the hell the Dodds memo wrote? Thank you very much. Tonight, Law & Order: CSR raised a very interesting question at the end of the episode, thanks to a simple thing with not-so-simple consequences: the End memo.

For the record, we only call it Fin`s because it was in his possession. He was actually referring to Dodds, and most of the mystery here is twofold: how did Fin get this memo and what does it contain? (E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.) Real? I thought last week`s episode wasn`t bad, it was more like CSR, but this one was horrible – boring and mechanical, superficial in plot, with an unbearable ending in which Nikki collapses and regrets and receives absolution from St. Benson. There is no way this will not happen later. A long-standing rule of CSR is that justice is not exclusive to a few. Investigating police officers (and police lawyers) are anything but desirable. They risk tearing down a blue wall, splitting and investigating themselves.
